Service pages are often where enquiries start. A clear on-page SEO checklist helps each page match what people search for.
1. One main topic per page
Decide the main search phrase for the page, for example “technical SEO services”. Do not try to rank one page for many unrelated topics.
2. Title and meta description
- Put the main phrase near the start of the title
- Keep titles short enough to display in results
- Write a meta description that explains the benefit and invites a click
3. Headings
Use one H1 that states the service, then H2 and H3 headings to organise the page: what it is, what is included, process, pricing approach and FAQs.
4. Answer questions directly
Start sections with a clear, direct answer, then add detail. This helps readers and also helps search engines and AI assistants understand and quote your content.
5. Add real proof
Include examples, case studies or reviews that you can support. Avoid unsupported claims.
6. Internal links
Link to related services and to your contact page using descriptive link text, not “click here”.
7. Images and speed
Compress images, add descriptive alt text and make sure the page loads quickly on mobile.
8. FAQs
Add real questions customers ask. You can mark them up with FAQ structured data where appropriate.
9. Clear call to action
Tell visitors what to do next and make the contact method obvious.
